Do you remember Fizz and Meiska, the two beautiful tabbies who had to be rehomed? Welll they were rehomed together last Thursday and their new Mum has sent us the following email: Just a quick update to let you know how the babies are! So far so good - Fizz is a wee (well quite big actually) darling. Using tray, eating and coming around us quite happily for cuddles and playing. Our pub quiz was great fun last night at the Plough and we raised a magnificent £331 for our cats and kittens.Thank you so much to everyone who came along to join in the fun. Thank you very much to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle, we had some really lovely prizes. Our 50/50 raffle raised £81 so one lucky person went home with £41. We also can't thank Ian at the Plough enough who, although he was unwell, still managed to do the questions and... keep all the hecklers...

Forfar and District branch now has a new volunteer secretary Lisa and a volunteer fundraising events organiser Angela, so look out, as we will now be firing on all cylinders!We are so excited about our new team members and we will all be working very hard to raise the funds to help all those unwanted cats and kittens out there. It costs about £160 per cat/kitten for a health check, neuter, microchip, vaccinate, flea and worm treatment, and then extra vet fees for any medical treatment ...

Now that the Christmas and New Year celebrations are finished, and we are all stuffed with haggis, neeps and tatties, it’s time for a bit of mental stimulation.We are having our annual pub quiz on Friday 5th February at the Plough Inn, Market Street, Forfar, 7pm for 7.30pm start. There will be a prize for the winning team and also for the team with the lowest score. No discrimination! COFFEE MORNING We held our annual coffee morning on 214 October and had a very successful morning. We raised a magnificent total of £803.00. We held our annual raffle, tombola, bric a brac, jewellrey, CP merchandise and our cake and candy table was a delight to see. Our team of volunteers is very sorry to say that we have to cancel our Prize Bingo night on 18 August. We don't have enough prizes for bingo and raffle, so we have had to cancel. We are really sorry because we have such a brilliant time at our Prize Bingo night in April, but we will hold another one next year, so hopefully will see you there.If you would like to donate an item for our fundraising events, we would be very grateful and happy to collect if you give us a call on 01307 708344. ...

WOW WOW WOW That comes very close to describing our fabulous prize bingo last night at the Legion. We raised the amazing amount of £767 and were given two personal donations from Anne Lee and her son Stewart (£170), making a total of £937. We raised just over £500 last year so this amount was unbelievable. There were 105 people there last night. We tried out our new 50/50 raffle for the second time and it raised £109. One lucky person got £54.90 and the cats in our care got the other £54.90,...

MICROCHIPPING We posted on Facebook about a beautiful tabby cat who was found today and who was not microchipped, so we cannot trace her owner. We are making a plea for everyone to get their cats and kittens microchipped if they have not already done so, and to register their details with the database.
